I started this service to help students of all ages find out about public health careers and how to pursue them. I wish there was a service like this when I was in high school.
Very few of my high school classmates went to a college or university. Don’t get me wrong, I am not knocking people who do not go to college. I am wishing that more of my high schools friends wanted to go to college so that we could have had better career counseling and support. Going into UNC as an undergraduate, I had no idea that I could help people in health-related jobs and not go to medical school. I didn’t learn about public health until two years after graduation.
Lucky for me, someone eventually linked me and my interests to public health. I am hoping to do the same for students of all ages and stages of their careers. Whether you ask questions or just tag along, I hope that you can benefit from this service. I am ready for my Ten & Twos with you!
