December 8-9, 2014, AcademyHealth and the National Institutes of Health will co-host the “7th Annual Conference on the Science of Dissemination and Implementation: Transforming Health Systems to Optimize Individual and Population Health.”

If you are looking for an exciting way to make a real difference, consider focusing on research implementation and/or implementation. Both are emerging areas of research offering opportunities for upcoming researchers to establish seminal concepts, theories and research. Dissemination and implementation are also critical and sometimes undervalued aspects of health policy and health services. We need more and talented young professionals to focus on effective connections between research and health care.

From AcademyHealth’s website:

A forum for discussing the science of dissemination and implementation, the 7th annual conference aims to grow the research base by bridging the gap between evidence, practice, and policy in health and medicine.

Researchers, evaluators and implementers who are interested in identifying opportunities, challenges, and strategies for disseminating the findings and implementation of research to key stakeholders are encouraged to attend.

Discuss, debate, and explore in-depth approaches to advance dissemination and implementation science.
