Of course, public ratings are only ONE source of information about the quality of a course and/or a professor. It should not be your only source. Unless the ratings source also reports accurately on what proportion of students in a course provided the ratings and the evaluation questions, it is hard to judge whether or not results are biased. I.e., Students who REALLY like a course or REALLY don’t are most likely to participate in this type of site. So, reader…take interest…AND beware.
