I definitely put more effort in the classes that were more crucial to my skill development. However, after adapting to my institution’s culture, I’ve decided to take advantage of an opportunity, work part-time and still work hard at my course load. I realize that I might not be able to dedicate as much time to my courses but after seeing how my institution passes everyone along anyways, I have found it more valuable to gain additional real world experience and get a passing grade instead of aiming for perfection and sacrificing professional opportunities.
